This is a threat to public health, as it weakens our most common medications. The long-term risk is to get in a situation where we do not have a cure for the most everyday illnesses. It can also have short term negative health effects. Today the overuse of antobiotics is way too high in many countries, even in Europe. The dire consequences calls for a precautionary approach. Therefore, we are setting a limit on how much that can be used for producing the food we sell.
