Coffee connects millions of people. But it’s also tied to deforestation, poor working conditions and fragile ecosystems. Most of the world’s coffee is grown on small farms, where transparency and fair working terms can be hard to guarantee. Looking ahead, climate change could reduce global coffee production by as much as 50%.
